Trustees’ Meeting

So the date for the day retreat mentioned in the last post will be Sunday 9th August. The day will start at 10am and end at 4pm. A cooked lunch will be provided. It is fine to come for the morning or afternoon only. Please let me know by Friday 7th if you intend to come. If you are only coming for half the day also let me know if you’ll be here for lunch.

Last weekend I travelled up to Throssel Hole Buddhist Abbey for a meeting of the trustees of Field of Merit, the charity that the Hermitage operates under. The trustees are myself, Rev. Mugo and Rev. Wilfrid. It was a beautiful sunny day on the day I drove up, and I chose the Teesdale route from the A1(M) across to the Abbey. It’s not a route you want to do in bad weather, but in summer it is glorious. We had our meeting on Saturday morning and it was pretty straightforward, the main business being to approve the annual accounts for the last financial year. I’ve posted the accounts here . Do have a look, and feel free to ask me anything about them.

This morning a parcel arrived with the first mis-spelling of this address: Sitting Bull Hermitage. At Throssel we used to collect all the mis-spellings – one of my favourites was Throttle Hotel.
