Goodbye to the Caravan

This week I said goodbye to the retreat caravan.

Retreat Caravan Close UpI was sorry to have to let it go, it had served well for a number of people this past year to benefit from some quiet retreat time.

Sadly there will not be space for the it at the new property so last Saturday I put an ad on Preloved and the next day a couple came round to view it, left me a deposit, and returned on Thursday to collect it. (Huge thanks to A who came round the day before and towed it into position for collection.)

As mentioned in the previous post, the new property has a second bedroom in an annexe with its own bathroom, so I will continue to be able to offer individual retreat accommodation.

With this move I feel that the time has come to open up the Hermitage to local people who would like to come and meditate together and to start offering some introductory classes on Buddhism and meditation. This is an idea that has been floating around for me for a while, and I think the layout and location of the new place will be better suited for this purpose.

I expect that a regular schedule of classes/meditation evenings etc will gradually evolve and I’ll keep you up to date here on the website and via the monthly Newsletter. If you live in the area and would be interested to come along please do get in touch.
