I have changed the date of the day retreat in June to Sunday 12th. This is because the weekend of the 17th to 19th is the Celebrating Cromford weekend and there will be lots of activities going on in the village – including an open-air church service on Sunday morning and an RAF Spitfire and Hurricane fly-past on Sunday afternoon – so it probably won’t be terribly quiet!
One of the regular features is the installation of the Wishing Pigs in the old pigsty across the yard from the Hermitage. The pigs are made of papier-mâché and the idea is that children can write out wishes and hang them around the pigsty for the pigs to grant.
